By Mark Tracey When the country is $72trillion in debt and sliding deeper every day, this is not the time to for the tax payers to take on more of other people’s responsibility. Come back and ask me this question again when serious plans are in place to to whittle down the current debt burden.

By Daniel Spain The national debt is $21 trillion and counting. The federal deficit soared last year to $779 billion and is projected to approach $1 trillion in 2019. For most Americans, it's difficult to comprehend a dollar figure that has that many digits. Oct 21 2018

By Mark Tracey Perhaps technically I over stated the amount, I added intended to include the unfounded liabilities of the government such as future social security and Medicare obligations. Regardless the number is huge and I don’t want to split hairs over the specific number, but needless to say, either number could bring down the economy and make the 1930’s look like a picnic. It is irresponsible for either party to increases spending and ignore a systemic sustainable budget reduction plan.

By Daniel Spain I think they can't cut military expenditure and divert those monies to healthcare, educatio, infrastructure etc. Of the 15 lasgest armies ours is still bigger than all other 14. 13 which are allies.

By Mark Tracey I believe every area of spending needs to cut between 2-5% . That wouldn’t hurt the program but it would reduce waste which is more prone in government then private business. Use that over of savings over time time to reduce what Is owed. I don’t know how many times the spend it or lose it attitude takes precedent over frugality.
