By Mario Veras Gun control legislation is not going to happen until we get money out of politics. Outlaw lobbying for money and special favors and that will solve the corruption problem in Congress and the NRA terrorists will not have the power to control politicians. They can lobby all they want, as long as no money or favors are exchanged. I don’t see the difference between our current lobbying system and bribery.

By Mike Hamlin how was this kid affiliated with the NRA??
Picture?type=square
By Mario Veras I didn’t say he was affiliated with the NRA. Not sure where that comes from.
Picture?type=square
By Mike Hamlin Well you seem to think the NRA was some how responsible for these shootings. I contend that if this kid has been affiliated with the NRA, he would not have committed this crime.
Picture?type=square
By Mario Veras Ok. I’m speaking about the larger issue of the mass shooting epidemic in the US which the NRA is largely responsible for because they have put Congress in their deep pockets.
Picture?type=square
By Mike Hamlin Which ones??
Picture?type=square
By Rudy Schulz Would you also contend that AAA is responsible for the over 30,000 annual automobile deaths in the US?
Picture?type=square
By James Warren the problem is kids half raised with worthless parents the NRA has been here long before you was born son...dont blame them
Anonymous-user
by anon-d35f Long before this kid was born, the NRA was an actual SPORTING association: they USED to promote the SPORT of guns and they placed a lot of emphasis on SAFETY. That's when I was a member.

Today, they are nothing but a lobbying/PR/propaganda firm for the gun MANUFACTURERS; their ONLY purpose, today, is to SELL MORE GUNS for PROFIT.
Picture?type=square
By Mike Hamlin That was before there was a concerted effort to disarm Americans.
Picture?type=square
By Rudy Schulz You don't know much about the NRA. The are still the largest promoter of firearms safety. Not sure that your news source is doing you any favors.
Picture?type=square
By Mario Veras Of course, everything else is a problem except the NRA. FYI, the NRA was not always bribing our politicians to change laws in their favor. This problem took many decades to raise to the level it is today. So I have to dismiss your arguments as invalid. In many other countries where they have far worse parenting you don’t see this epidemic.
Picture?type=square
By Mike Hamlin Show us a single shooter that has taken a NRA gun safety courses.

Ther countries you refer to are countries where the people are subordinate to the state, unlike the US, Where the state is subordinate to the people.
Anonymous-user
by anon-d35f There is only one country that has more mass shootings than the US and that is YEMEN. Oddly enough, they have the SECOND highest number of guns per capita -- second only to US.

It's the GUNS, stupid!!!
Picture?type=square
By Mike Hamlin Where are these gun gangs?? I don’t see guns running around shooting people, or anything else for that matter. I put my guns in thier cabinet about a year ago when we moved to a new house, and they haven’t moved.

Your logic cars cause accidents, spoons caused the obesity epidemic, computers, cause cyber bullying and child suicide.

I think it is hilarious that guns are the only inanimate objects that are blamed for what the people that use them do with it.
Anonymous-user
by anon-d35f No one wants to tell the guns who they can live with, STUPID, but, we WOULD like to tell MORONS, like YOU, what guns they can buy.

Judging by your "argument", YOU aren't smart enough to own a PEA SHOOTER!!!

DUMBEST. ARGUMENT. EVER.
Picture?type=square
By Mike Hamlin Who are you to till my how I can expertise my explicit constitutional rights
Anonymous-user
by anon-d35f I'm just an AMERICAN in touch with FACTS: the SUPREME COURT has, already, ruled that semi-automatics are NOT covered by the Second Amendment -- and, YOU DO NOT have an explicit right to own one!

You would know that too IF you LISTENED to anyone other than the LIARS who would keep us at war with one another.
Picture?type=square
By Mike Hamlin So which case was that??

Seems that IF that was the case they would have already been banned and upheld...
Picture?type=square
By Mike Hamlin I actually own 7 rifles and 4 shotguns a pistol 2 bows and several large swords, and even a hunting blow gun.
Anonymous-user
by anon-d35f I'm sure your parents are proud.
Anonymous-user
by anon-d35f THEY DID. I 1994, Bill Clinton signed an assault weapons ban AND the Supreme Court upheld it saying that assault type semi-automatics are not guaranteed under the Second Amendment.

The ban was allowed to lapse in 2004 under GW Bush and his Republican congress.

Have you been living in a cave with those things?
Picture?type=square
By Mike Hamlin From the day I was born until the day they died
Picture?type=square
By Mike Hamlin no longer law
still didn't state the supreme court case
democrats had complete control of the congress and the presidency the first couple of years of obama's term, and they did nothing, even though they complete control... why?
Anonymous-user
by anon-d35f WHILE they had congress -- and, it was an extremely BRIEF period of time because of Ted Kennedy's death, they were concentrating on health care.

As far as the case goes, Google it yourself, I'm tired of doing everybody else's research for them -- and, MAYBE you'll LEARN something while you're at it.

And, I misspoke, the SCOTUS refused to hear any assault weapons ban cases but several Federal Appeals
Courts have ruled that the bans are perfectly legal.

Go ahead, look it up. Make sure to keep a box of tissues close by.
Picture?type=square
By Mike Hamlin poor excuse, the legislation had already been written, it just needed to be voted on.

then I must assume there has been no Supreme court ruling saying that semi-autos are not protected.

By the way, there is no definite definition of what a semi is. the previous legislation was deliberately vague so dems don't need to pass new legislation to cover more and more weapons on their way to their disarmed America.
Picture?type=square
By James Warren my parents were proud....not of my guns but that i had enough sense to protect myself. the media is more cause than the gun...brainwashing people for ratings. if they would stop making national heroes out of these basket cases it may help. kill 17 kids next thing you know your face is on every newspaper and tv in America. attention seeking has no boundaries for some.....absolutely anything for a few moments of fame. it has all evolved around to making headlines on the news . they make me sick egging this behavior on....after the bombing running down people with a truck and knocking down buildings with a airplane you have GOT to be slow to blame a gun............
Picture?type=square
By Rudy Schulz What does the NRA have to do with this attack?
