A fan was ejected from the game and then banned for life for using a racial slur against another fan. Appropriate, unenforceable or over the top?

By Ronald Nixon So much for free speech. Typical liberal city. Most racist fans, and fascist free speech laws.

By Dan Witherell The constitution protects infringement of free speech by the GOVERNMENT. The Boston Red Sox are a private business and has every right to ban undesirables from their venue. This racist can freely speak all he wants but in the private sector speech has consequences.

By Ronald Nixon This is why we need to fight fascism and tyranny like the Red Sox. There are government workers like Police and First Responders at Femway Park, so if the Red Sox want to oppress free speech, the police cannot go there and provide security. That's their real goal, to prevent police from being able to stop Red Sox fan goons from beating on visiting fans.
