By Mike Miller He got the first part of his statement right, that capitalism has helped more people out of poverty than any other "ism", but then goes right off the rails calling capitalism an amoral beast. The real beasts are all the government "isms" that modify and regulate pure market capitalism to help them achieve their various goals of governance and which invariably leads to less freedom for people and less efficient markets, which makes us all poorer.

By Mark Tracey Agreed ( can you believe we are on the same page?) but fixing it is a better solution the destroying the system. Corruption will always be the reality as long as humans are involved, we need better watch dogs then we have now.

by anon-11bb It's Capitalism spelled GDP, or GDP is not a necessarily a good way to save wealth. It can even ruin wealth and create poverty. This seems to be the Feds new role in sustaining the debt note made at Brentoh woods. Growth has to be defined in other ways as well, like brain power.
