Israel had no comment as has been the case since in all its suspected strikes on Hezbollah weapons facilities, shipments in Syria. Are these strikes justified?

By Earle L. Bailey No, I have no problem with Jewish people. I've had quite a few Jewish friends and did volunteer work with them.
Zionists are no more Jewish than Republicans are Christians.

By Larry W. Gray Yes, I'm sure that "some of your best friends, are Jews." You might ask your Jewish friends about these matters.

By Earle L. Bailey We had many discussions. Perhaps you are unaware, but MANY Jews oppose Zionism. Check out True Torah Jews:

By Larry W. Gray If you have something to say, say it. I don't follow self-serving links suggested by others. I never suggested that all Jews are Zionists.

By Chervin Daniel using the above link is in many ways similar to the conspiracy statements that claim that the real US govt' is run by a reptilian race located in area 51.
the least I can do is to offer an authentic opinion (mine) about Zionism, I will start with 1. I'm Jewish 2. I'm Israeli 3. I'm a Zionist.
first 2 are self-explanatory so i'll jump straight to num 3 (the hot potato), to me Zionism is the right to self-determination for the Jewish people in its ancestral homeland. After 2 millennia of expulsions (Israel, Spain, England...), persecutions/murder (ME & all of Europe) combined with the Jews desire (not all) to maintain as a group/people led some jews to realize that they need to establish a country of our own in our ancestral land (Israel) at that time was part of the Ottoman Empire... the rest is history.
Other strongly religious Jews believed that they should wait for God to free them, even as they were praying, men women & children, waiting in line to be gassed to death by the Germans. Many Jews (me included) see these self -nominated true Jews as a cult, they are no more or lesser jew than me.

I don't have any intention to dominate the world, write secret protocols or flood Europe with immigrants, we prefer to develop ourselves & our country, Israel, in all positive ways, free, democratic, scientifically advanced & most important humane.

By Chervin Daniel Sorry but Zionists are not reptilians, I'm limiting my response to Jewish Zionism (not familiar with other forms of Zionism), in simple words, it is not different than being a patriot, it is the Jewish right to self-determination in the land of Israel.

By Earle L. Bailey Returning to the original question, "Is it okay for Israel to bomb Syria?" The, as you called it, "the Jewish right to self-determination," has what, exactly, to do with Israel bombing Syria?
Picture?type=square
By Chervin Daniel First, the "the Jewish right to self-determination" response was aimed your remarks about Zionism.
Second Israeli attacks on Syrian soil were aimed at Iranian & Hezbollah missile shipments and missile factories made for the purpose of hitting Israel, in Iranian & Hezbollah words, not Israels.
In a certain way, the refusal to allow Iran the threat Israel by stationing their missiles in proximity to its borders is quite similar to the US refusal to allow the Soviets to station their nuclear missiles in Cuba.

By Earle L. Bailey You know who keeps Iran up at night? It isn't Israel. It's the US ally, Saudi Arabia RIGHT NEXT DOOR.
And, do you think it is right that the US doesn't want Russian missiles near its borders but puts its own nuclear missiles right on Russia's borders, (incidentally endangering the countries we've forced to house them?)
Moreover, it was Iran and Russia who defeated ISIS in Syria, NOT the US, who was funding, arming, and training the so-called "moderate rebels" that everybody knows is ISIS. The joke being that ISIS stands for Israeli Secret Insurgency Service. This, in my opinion, is somewhat uncharitable as it fails to give the CIA proper credit.
