By Douglas Mkhize Justice should prevail, that's what the west always preaches to Africa! There are however, interesting Euro-centric comments here that suggest that there was no harm caused by slavery - usual racism l suppose.

By Kirby Whosoever Harris No the people who were wronged are dead. If the west must pay for reparations for slavery, then I want ROme to pay me reparations for the abuse and slavery they did to my European ancestors.

By Stephanie De Ayala-Larragoiti I partially agree but not completely. I do not know if 'All' the wronged are dead but Rome has and does abuse often as much as USA, natives, and carribean peoples sometimes do to. This does not mean that filing lawsuits for reparations will resolve any issue if it is ongoing. I do believe in justice but I do not assume what the question or situation is. Some of us are too busy trying to feed our families because some people were lied to so much that they think we were actually the abusers when it was the reverse. This is why I never say yes to open-ended questions that are 'bait-like' in context. For example, some USA people get jealous that they didn't get sex with a particular woman so they lie many times and bring foreign over to the one who refuses them and then portays the victim as a collaborator. There is MUCH evil in the world and that includes all of the world not just whites, blacks, or Europeans...that is the honest truth.
