By Rose Barrientes when it is faith based in your beliefs to go by the bible guidelines to abstain from blood there is no other way to get around it. Either obey God and his laws or pay the price. God states in the bible(acts 15:20,leviticus17:13) I do not believe that your right to choose should be taken away from you.

By Shane Bagley Alot of the ancient Hebrew laws concerned cleanliness and were obviously put forth to protect the people who thrived in part due to them. These things were still unclean and dangerous in the time of Paul when he wrote in his epistle to continue to abstain from it. Blood has been a major source of infection from this past century, makes us really understand why to abstain from it, and not just because blood letting drains your life. That being said I feel the JW's standing on this one is too stringent against the use of parts of blood, such as plasma, and also that the handling of it by trained professionals in a structured safe way (barring bio terrorism or intentional infection) is no longer unclean in a medical sense as it was in the times of Moses and Paul.

By Ley Rowe Noah was given permission by Jehovah God to eat animals for food when he came out of the Ark, but Jehovah gave Noah the standard instructions of how he was drain the animal's blood and not to eat it...In the book of Acts Paul gave the reminder to all true Christians not to do what the Nations do,, True Christians must not eat blood of any sort,,, and he concluded by saying "Good health to you if you keep observing this command....I true Christian has to demonstrate their faith with actions...
