By Wallace Freeman Your hero Stalin phrased it a little bit differently. "Death is the solution to all problems. No man - no problem." Joseph Stalin Of course your proposal makes his so much easier to implement and is why thinking people will accept yours.

By William Dykeman you make a straw man argument i liked trotsky better actually but the only scoailsit i would say i admired in a totaly positive way is george orwel, and lets remember one thing how did communists come to power? it was armed citizens over throwing sate authority there is no gaurantee that those with guns will do good, during the russian revolution people had guns goole the green armies, the black armies the white armies there were various groups of armed people civlians that fought the communists they lost, in an emrgency situation for example romania in 1989 anti comunist forces did arm the people, that was fine, after the cris was over they demanded the guns be turned back in.. that was easier said than doen some are stil in prvate hands, but most were retrieved in five or ten years .. the pint is no sensible society lets crazy people run around with military weapons

By William Dykeman not necessarily i know back home you may own mny sorts of guns 9mm automatics semi automati ak varients if you belong to a club the vetting process is very very strict, but you can get them if you are law abiding respectable have a job avoid drug use and alcohol are of good charator and are not clinically crazy which is a category about 85% to 90% of ordinary people fall into https://www.gunpolicy.org/firearms/region/netherlands

By Wallace Freeman In the Netherlands one may obtain all sorts of neat weapons that are just lying around for the taking and if one is a serious terrorist it's even easier to obtain weapons in better condition. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KawAOjL7HI

By William Dykeman well i know youd like to think so but gun homicides are like one thenth what they are here.. 1/10 and the homicide rate here is 5 per 100 000 in holland its about .6 per 100 000 so back home the homicide rate from guns and the over all homicide is about one tenth per capita, i'd say thats a pretty effective at reducing gun crime and over all crime can you beat that?

By Wallace Freeman If fewer people die in the Netherlands TODAY (not so about 70 years ago) it obviously has nothing to do with the availability of weapons which have remained available from that time 70 years ago and are still available today. To pretend weapons aren't available is like closing your eyes and pretending the sun's not shining.

By William Dykeman There are more public mass shootings in America than in any other country in the world.
Our calculations based on OECD data from 2010 show that Americans are 51 times more likely to be killed by gunfire than people in the United Kingdom.
Opinion: America's unyielding plague of gun violence
Most American gun owners (two-thirds) say a major reason they own a gun is for their personal protection, according to the Pew study. However, the majority of America's firearm-related deaths are attributed to self-harm.
Gun-related suicides are eight times higher in the US than in other high-income nations.

By Wallace Freeman Suicide is a choice. Choices only exist when there is freedom. Freedom is good.
Picture?type=square
By William Dykeman is it? always? not always.. the freedom of a bank robber or a child molester is not of value to society
Picture?type=square
By Wallace Freeman You set up a straw man argument when you argue freedom extends to the molestation of others thus infringing on their basic freedom to be left alone. The suicide has the right to be left alone as well. Any claim that the solitary suicide infringes on the rights of others is based on the false claim that anyone else has a claim on the life of the suicide without that person's consent.

By Wallace Freeman There is no freedom to restrain freedom. That's tyranny. I don't hear of mobs of refugees flocking to your alleged utopia of Singapore.
