Discussion started by Tok Staff:
The US is now forcefully condemning the chemical attack in Syria, but it's not clear where that will lead given unappealing options. What should the US do?

By Larry W. Gray It's not our war. Let the U.N. do something for a change. No more American dead in that endless hellhole of the Middle East. Let the rich Gulf States pay for everything.

By Thomas Edward Stubbs They are doing something. The head of the UN stated the other day that there is no proof of Assad's involvement in the gassing of his own people. They are investigating this still as Tweety the Clown (Groper in Chief) is bombing them without evidence right now.
Picture?type=square
By Larry W. Gray Why are you so interested in protecting Bashar al Assad?
Picture?type=square
By Thomas Edward Stubbs That's a good question. I'm not a fan of Assad, but he is not nearly as bad as many of the tyrants we have planted into power all over the world through coups de tat's and assassinations. The US has quite a resume where it concerns our love for murderous tyrants. US Imperialism actually really took hold with the overthrow of Mosaddegh, a democratically elected and very popular president of Iran. We had him taken from power by a coup with the help of Great Britain and the US (especially Kermit Roosevelt -the first economic hit man) in the early 50's. The Shah was placed in power because he served the Oilygarchs vested interests.

Actually US empire goes way back, you can read Smedley Butler's take on it in his book "War is A Racket".

The US is dying to start another war and it is the cabal between the Neocons and the Neoliberals who want to conquer the world.

So, Assad is not the problem here, US imperialism is.

By Larry W. Gray "US imperialism, the Great Satan whose machinations are responsible for every evil in the world. Please.

By Thomas Edward Stubbs Most of the wars in the world we either intervened in, started or escalated. The biggest whopper to date was the 9-11 false flag operation. The sheer incompetence of that event is beyond words but most people still believeth in the 9-11 Omission, much like they did the Warren Commission etc.
Picture?type=square
By Larry W. Gray You know what? Before I considered you slightly erratic in your views. But your referring to the attacks of 9/11 is simply disrespectful and hurtful to those who lost their lives that day and the people that loved and miss them. From here on out, leave me out of your pathetic and ignorant ravings. You are a disgusting low-life who has learned NOTHING other than what you want to believe, in your juvenile and conspiratorial obsessions. F**k O**, Loser.
Picture?type=square
By Larry W. Gray You area sorry excuse for an American. That is, IF you even ARE an American.
Picture?type=square
By William Dykeman you see he is everything you say all the more reason to engage him, you cant run from a fight even if the fight is just screaming "crazy loser" over and again if you run they think they have won we have to fight them, you ran from me, if indeed i am such a jerk and i admit it often i am on purpose i am a terrible troll , you have every right to express your disgust for me
Picture?type=square
By Larry W. Gray Well, at least you are an honest man and I can respect that.

By Thomas Edward Stubbs Shame to our government for its long history of false flag operations. And thank you to General Smedley Butler for telling us the truth about it.
Picture?type=square
By Larry W. Gray And shame on you for your long history of being a complete and total mental whackjob.
Picture?type=square
By Larry W. Gray I can only assume from that incoherent "reply" you left, that you have mental issues.
Picture?type=square
By Thomas Edward Stubbs Yes those mental issues are called critical and creative thinking
Picture?type=square
By Larry W. Gray Yeah, okay.

By Thomas Edward Stubbs Martin Luther King said it back 1967 and he got assassinated by our own government exactly a year later. This is a strong indication that the US is what he said it was and now even worse, "The greatest purveyor of violence in the world." He was right and American empire is absolutely wrong in the direction it continues to go. This is not a game, it is hegemony run by a bunch of vultures who have no concept of reality except to exploit the resources of the world at our expense.
Picture?type=square
By Thomas Edward Stubbs America and the corporations that control them are responsible for the actions they have committed against the world for personal gain. It has been confirmed, and so blatantly obvious that I am stunned by those who still believe that the US is a benevolent entity in these matters. You knoe, it is actually pretty easy to find a point of view that differs from yours. Do the research and then get back to me.
Picture?type=square
By Thomas Edward Stubbs Actually there are other interests that are international and have no allegiance to any country except for the resources. Banksters (Central Banks, Rothschild etc) who have infiltrated the US and other countries. America is the largest piggy bank for extraction by the banking cartels.
Picture?type=square
By William Dykeman those darn international bankers again... rothchilds conspiracy.. taking over the world grrrrrrr.. oh do you like MY tin foil hat? not as nice as yours

By William Dykeman Wahhabism (Arabic: الوهابية‎‎, al-Wahhābiya(h)) is an Islamic doctrine and religious movement founded by Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab.[1] It has been variously described as "ultraconservative",[2] "austere",[3] "fundamentalist",[4] or "puritan(ical)";[5][6] as an Islamic "reform movement" to restore "pure monotheistic worship" (tawhid) by devotees;[7] and as a "deviant sectarian movement",[7] "vile sect"[8] and a distortion of Islam by its opponents.[3][9] The term Wahhabi(ism) is often used polemically and adherents commonly reject its use, preferring to be called Salafi or muwahhid.[10][11][12] The movement emphasises the principle of tawhid[13] (the "uniqueness" and "unity" of God).[14] It claims its principal influences to be Ahmad ibn Hanbal (780–855) and Ibn Taymiyyah (1263–1328), both belonging to the Hanbali school,[15] although the extent of their actual influence upon the tenets of the movement has been contested.[16][17]
Wahhabism is named after an eighteenth-century preacher and activist, Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab (1703–1792).[18] He started a reform movement in the remote, sparsely populated region of Najd,[19] advocating a purging of such widespread Sunni practices as the veneration of saints, the seeking of their intercession, and the visiting of their tombs, all of which were practiced all over the Islamic world, but which he considered idolatry (shirk), impurities and innovations in Islam (Bid'ah).[20][14] Eventually he formed a pact with a local leader Muhammad bin Saud offering political obedience and promising that protection and propagation of the Wahhabi movement mean "power and glory" and rule of "lands and men."[21]

By William Dykeman Pol Pot (/pɒl pɒt/, US /poʊl/; Khmer: ប៉ុល ពត; 19 May 1925 – 15 April 1998,[1][2] born Saloth Sar; Khmer: សាឡុត ស) was a Cambodian politician and revolutionary who led the Khmer Rouge[4] from 1963 until 1997. From 1963 to 1981, he served as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Kampuchea.[5] As such, he became the leader of Cambodia on 17 April 1975, when his forces captured Phnom Penh. From 1976 to 1979, he also served as the Prime Minister of Democratic Kampuchea (30th Prime Minister of Cambodia).
He presided over a totalitarian dictatorship,[6] in which his government made urban dwellers move to the countryside to work in collective farms and on forced labour projects. The combined effects of executions, strenuous working conditions, malnutrition and poor medical care caused the deaths of approximately 25 percent of the Cambodian population.[7][8][9][10] In all, an estimated 1 to 3 million people (out of a population of slightly over 8 million) perished as a result of the policies of his four-year premiership.[11][12][13]
After Cambodia lost the Cambodian–Vietnamese War in 1979, Pol Pot relocated to the jungles of southwest Cambodia, and the Khmer Rouge government collapsed.[14] From 1979 to 1997, he and a remnant of the old Khmer Rouge operated near the border of Cambodia and Thailand. Until 1993, they clung to power as part of a coalition government that was internationally recognized as the rightful government of Cambodia. Pol Pot died in 1998, while under house arrest by the Ta Mok faction of the Khmer Rouge. Since his death, rumors that he committed suicide or was poisoned have persisted.

By William Dykeman Asperger syndrome (AS), also known as Asperger's, is a developmental disorder characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction and nonverbal communication, along with restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests.[1] As a milder autism spectrum disorder (ASD), it differs from other ASDs by relatively normal language and intelligence.[2] Although not required for diagnosis, physical clumsiness and unusual use of language are common.[3][4] Signs usually begin before two years old and typically last for a person's entire life.[1]
Picture?type=square
By William Dykeman you do understand the concept of sarcasm.. or are you autistic as well as stupid?
Picture?type=square
By Larry W. Gray Well, I guess that explains your posts pretty damn well.
Picture?type=square
By Thomas Edward Stubbs A lot of Gish Gallup going on here. The Rothschild family is the wealthiest family in the world. They want to control the banking system of the whole world , there are only three countries left that are not tied into the central bank cartel. Iran, Syria and North Korea. I think the Russians kicked out the banksters. They already got Libya, Iraq and other Middle Eastern Countries. The term "Conspiracy Theory" was promoted by the CIA as a pejorative to end any kind of discourse regarding the Warren Commission as well as the 9-11 Omission.
Picture?type=square
By William Dykeman soo you are an anti semite

By William Dykeman sarcasm , trolling , devils advocate, you cant take me too seriously a lot of stuff i say is deliberetely inflamatory especially when i am BORED! if i sound to sane i get ignored

By Thomas Edward Stubbs We have absolutely no business in the Middle East. We have interests in the Middle East, but it has to be under the terms of the oilygarchs who encompass all thought in America. The drum beat to war is pretty obvious to observant people, but those who see a purpose in this nonsense are buying into the propaganda
Picture?type=square
By William Dykeman fine fine and islam and muslims have no business living in the west, get them all to pack up and go home and then we can pack up and go home
Picture?type=square
By Thomas Edward Stubbs The whole purpose in the drum beat for war is to inspire an irrational allegiance to authority, confuse people through social engineering, scapegoating and displacing innocent people with the most base fear tactics (Racism, Xenophobia), obfuscation by news organizations that serve the vested interests of the Military Industrial Congressional Complex, corporatocracy and of course the governments they own. They initiate false flag operations to give totalitarian power to the president to get us into a war without congressional approval or debate.
Picture?type=square
By William Dykeman oh okay so bombing he hell out of germany to defeat hitler... that was just irrational warmongering?.. got it
Picture?type=square
By Thomas Edward Stubbs Bombing Germany didn't stop US war profiteering at all we continued to trade with and do business with Germany to the end of the war. IBM, Ford Coca Cola etc were on both sides of the fence. Perhaps we could send all of the white supremacists back to Germany.
Picture?type=square
By Larry W. Gray And where do we send the anti-Semites like you?
Picture?type=square
By Thomas Edward Stubbs Paperclip project was an escape plan for Nazi's from Germany to the US so Russia wouldn't get those top scientists. Many of the people in our government actually put Hitler into power Allan Dulles made Hitler Chancelor of Germany. As for being Anti-Semitic , it is just not true.

They are people like us and many are amongst my favorite people on this planet. Chomsky, Finkelstein, Blumenthal come to mind but there are other great achievers like Schoenberg and Einstein. Where would this world be without them. I am only critical of corrupt governments like the Likud right wing party and our own government which sponsors their terrorism against the the real Semites (Palestinians which include Jews, Muslims and Christians whom are all mistreated if not abused by that government.)
Picture?type=square
By Larry W. Gray Bigots and anti-Semites all say the same thing, "...many are amongst my favorite people..." Kind of like, "Some of my BEST friends are Jews."
Picture?type=square
By William Dykeman thank you
Picture?type=square
By William Dykeman if the usa had not gotten into ww2 there is a real real chance hitler would not have prevailed, stalin would have consumed the world, even if you look at it purely from pragmatic terma and not idealistic or humanitarian issues
if we had stayed out of it we eventually would have had to deal with hitler or stalin all by ourselves..and we might not have survived, people try to make it all about the jews and the holocaust was of course real and monumentally terrible but it wasnt the only reason to be involved the very survival of our nation and its republican government was at stake.. neither the nazis or the communists would have stopped had they defeated the other, the hope was if we stayed out each side would end up destroying each other.. a very risky strategy..the survivor would have rested and come after us
Picture?type=square
By William Dykeman your dogmatic anti americanism is mind boggling and truly frightening in it insanity
Picture?type=square
By Thomas Edward Stubbs The Nazi's were brought here through programs like the Paper clip project. They had a lot to do with our espionage apparatus, as well as intelligence--(CIA, Pentagon, NSA, Manhattan Project)
Picture?type=square
By Thomas Edward Stubbs That's stupid! I named specific people. Do you have any recordings or books by Chomsky, Finkelstein or Blumenthal? Do you have any music by Arnold Schoenberg? I seriously doubt it. Do you know the art of Herb Fink who was my mentor.

Being critical of governments is not Anti-Semitism, I think you cherry pick what I said, which is a reflection of your prejudiced nature.

You assume that I am Anti-Semite because I don't like my taxes going to supporting a regime that is off the charts in it abuses against the native population of Palestine, which gives me the right to be critical. By the way, I did say I'm critical of our own government for being even worse not just for interfering with elections (81 so far) all over the world including Russia, Installing puppet leaders into governments all over the world either by Coup or by assassinations etc. We are literally the greatest threat to peace in the world and it's getting worse as the US government is one and the same as the Corporatocracy, Banksters and the Military Industrial Congressional Complex. This is a fact. We also have a long history of empire and false flag operations and PNAC (Project for a New American Century) actually brazenly admits to this in their tract--Did you read it?

"Dissent is the highest form of patriotism" it is guys like us who actually initiate change and the conservatives detest us, becasue they want te world to go back to the racist Apartheid 50's. They prefer Ozzy and Harriet over Ozzie Osbourne, which is a delusional if not dangerous way to believe with all of the efforts we put into equal rights.

Blacks, Jews, Mexicans, Asians and Women should have equal rights to white men--Do you agree?

Picture?type=square
By Thomas Edward Stubbs The US prospered from Auschwitz work camp. A place of slave labor emblematic of capitalism to the extreme. We were actually complicit with the genocide, but that is not surprising, because the US was involved with the surplus slaughter of our natives and it still continues up in DAPL and other places. Check out some of the FBI actions against Native Americans, talk to some of them, you might learn something. Over 100 million Native Americans were victims of genocide, but we are not alone and now we are amidst a genocide abroad the largest one right now has to do with the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo) which has reach over 6 million natives, for the extremely valuable resources they have.

We get 80% of the Coltan, 70% copper, 75% Cobalt (Since the assassination of Patrice Lumumba by the CIA) and so on. A patriot participates in protests against such actions not follow without asking critical questions about such atrocities being committed in our name. This is a fact And it is also happening in the Middle East in our name. The cabal between the Neocons and the Neoliberals makes the US the greatest existential threat to this planet.
Picture?type=square
By Larry W. Gray Blah blah blah, yada yada yada. Get another playbook, this one is stale.
Picture?type=square
By Thomas Edward Stubbs Sorry but I don't speak or write within 30 second sound bites. The Mass Media has mentally marginalized many people in this country. It's not their fault, it is the action of social engineering which has its roots going way back to the time of Edward Bernays and Walter Lippmann. Chomsky and Edward S Herman wrote about it in Manufacturing Consent. so, The Blah, Blah, Blah, is typical of the marginalized. This is a society that shuns intellectualism, some call it the culture of Anti-Intellectualism. And it continues and the methods are more insidious, so much so that the people don't realize it. They don't know that they don;t know!
Picture?type=square
