By Alex Daube Israel is a tiny piece of land compared to the vast lands of the Arabs, so let them keep it and leave them alone. They won that land in a war in which the Arabs attacked them, so they rightfully own it and this shouldn't even be an issue.

By Ray Benter The argument of who owns the land and who attacked who is not as simple as you make it sound. The establishment of an Isreali nation goes way back to the end of World War I when the Ottoman Empire was defeated and Britain took over Palestine. They decided to partition Palestine so Jews could live in half and serve as a homeland to the Jews who were persecuted in Germany and Russia. World War II brought even more The Jews accepted this but the Arabs, who had owned the land, refused to this day. By the time World War II ended, the British concluded that they could no longer manage Palestine and handed the issue over to the United Nations. In1947, after much debate and discussion, the UN established the Isreali nation by taking land from Palestine. The west has supported them with billions of $$$ every year and in the UN when decisions are made. They are strategically located for the U.S. in our insatiable need for oil from the Mideast. They also prop up the Biblical notion that a Jewish state should be established. Taking more of the land that formerly belonged to Arabs is probably not the best way to gain peace in that region.

By Alex Daube The Arabs hate the Jews, so there will never be peace in that land until Israel is destroyed. Also, Palestinians use the Golan Heights to lob mortar rounds and rockets into Israel, and I want that to stop. I don't want Israel destroyed.

By Vincent D'Emidio Yo Bubba -- oops! I meant, ah, Alex -- the Arab countries DID NOT start the 1967 War -- Israel did, with a SNEAK ATTACK on the Egyptian Air Force, while its planes lay on the ground. That sounds to me, and to ANY intelligent person, like the IDF fired the FIRST shot.

Read up on your history before making a FOOL of yourself.

By Vincent D'Emidio If you really wanna know what is going on in Israel, ignore the Binyamin Netanyahus of the world...listen to NIF (the New Israel Fund), J Street, and Peace Now. They will tell you what you need to know.

By Vincent D'Emidio The Israeli regime ALWAYS call their aggressive actions a "Pre-emptive strike". Whatever the reason, the IDF did fire the first shot.
