By Kirby Liberty Harris I am against Nazis and believe no one should ever use the Nazi salute, even in jest, BUY they have a right to freedom of expression. Unless they were doing it to terrorize someone.

By William Dykeman this is why i no longer beleive in freedom of expresion without some sort of restrictions, in germany theyd be spending 5 years in jail, that seems about right
Picture?type=square
By Kirby Liberty Harris And Germany is wrong. Unless they are actually directly hurting people or using it to terrorize people or a call to action, then they have the right to be jerkwads.

By William Dykeman i'm beginning to think they were always right
Picture?type=square
By Kirby Liberty Harris You mean, you think they were right to kill Jews?
Picture?type=square
By William Dykeman no i think they were right to put people in jail for saying they want to kill jews
you give a sig heil salute in germany? 10 years in prison
Picture?type=square
By Kirby Liberty Harris I agree saying you want to kill Jews is jailaable. That is a call to action, not part of free speech. The heil salute is not a call to action, so not the government's right to stop.

By Kirby Liberty Harris Thats awful to give 10 years for that evil salute. Do not repay evil with evil.
Picture?type=square
By William Dykeman sure you do if you kill people you get killed eye for eye
Picture?type=square
By William Dykeman that is not free speech, right neither is a nazi salute
Picture?type=square
By Kirby Liberty Harris A violent call to action is not free speech, but saying "I hate Jews' is free speech or a nazi salute is free expression. And doing either is NOT killing or directly harming people, so should not be a crime. I hate both the statement and the salute with a passion.

By William Dykeman its hate speech it incites hatred
Picture?type=square
By Kirby Liberty Harris No, giving an opinion is not hate speech, even if the opinion factually states a person's hate.
Picture?type=square
By William Dykeman there are limits i beleive in free speech but there are limits you cant call for genocide and defamation is already illegal there are already limits gooogle fighting words doctrine
Picture?type=square
By Kirby Liberty Harris I agree, fighting words, a call to action to commit genocide (not just saying you are for it generically) and defamation. Those are not covered under free speech, because they cross over into specific action, not just beliefs.
Picture?type=square
By Kirby Liberty Harris I can say I believe you are evil, I hate french and I wish you were dead, but those are covered under free speech and are part of the right.
Picture?type=square
By Kirby Liberty Harris BUT IF I said you ARE evil, I call for the killing of French and I am going to kill you, then that is not covered under the right to free speech. The difference, beliefs vs. a call to action.
