Amid protests, French magazine publishes Muhammad cartoons -- courageous or immoral?

As protests rage around the Muslim world in response to an obscure video mocking the prophet Muhammad that surfaced a week ago, a French magazine has decided to enter the fray. It is publishing comical cartoons of the prophet Muhammad. Is this, as the magazine claims, a courageous defense of free speech or is it an immoral provocation?
